CAMERON HIGHLANDS

Initially, it was just an ordinary 'balik kampung' plan where my wife and I will be spending few days in Ipoh and Tapah. It was kind of a last minute decision of going to Cameron Highlands along with my mum and my parents in law........not to forget, Almond too. We rented a fully furnished apartment for RM180/day and spent a nite there. For that kind of price of course we can't expect a luxurious unit, but overall it was ok.

The temperature was just right, really cooling.......probably because it was cloudy when we reach there during the noon. How I wish the whole of Malaysia has the same temperature like here........hehe. I guess our itinerary was not much different than any other tourist who comes here.

Apartment - Desa Anthurium

Steamboat is a must have in cool weather like this. Hence, we actually brought our own stuff for steamboat, except the vegetables which we bought them fresh from the farm and bazaar.

Vegetables

My first time trying out local corn called 'jagung mutiara'. They are superbly nice and sweet. It is meant to be eaten raw.

Cactus

My wife bought some of these cactuses below but smaller in size, 6 for RM10 and one of the christmas theme cactus pot as well.

Strawberries

We bought some fresh strawberries and strawberry tarts. I guess we were deceived by their looks because they taste average only......huhu

Tea Plantation

Ye Olde Smokehouse

Flowers

It was a pleasant trip. I will definitely come back to Cameron Highland whenever I can. Mainly due to the comfy weather I guess. But next time, probably without Almond........hehe, because I would like to visit Sam Poh Temple as well, the most famous temple here in Cameron Highlands. Sorry Almond.........no dogs allowed!!
