KOREA - The Journey (part2)

........continued from Part 1

Day 5
After breakfast at hotel, our 1st destination for the day was Kim Chi Centre where we had hands-on opportunity to make our own kim chi as well as dressed up in Korean traditional costume. Gosh!! I do look funny in their costume am I?..... Haha!

Next, we proceed to National Ginseng Outlet (kinda boring especially when it comes to their sales talk session). Then to Duty Free Cosmetic shop, where my wife managed to purchase her beloved BB Cream (a craze among Korean ladies) and some other beauty products as well.

After lunch, we headed to Blue House, South Korean president's official residence. Police officers who were guarding the area were very strict on visitors where we were only allowed to take photos of the surroundings (without focusing your lens on them at all, regardless of far or near). I was even warned to step out from the grass area........ Geee!!

Nevertheless, I still managed to capture a snapshot of a police woman monitoring the traffic around the Blue House area...... Hehe!

Then we proceed to Gyeongbokgung palace, the formal palace of the Choson Court established by Yi Song-Chye. As we reached, we were brought around the area and briefed by the palace's guide on the history and architecture of the palace.

Then we headed to Dongdaemun for shopping. Spent around 2 hours here and managed to grab some clothes for ourselves. Near this area, there is a man made river named Cheonggyecheon, that was being revived from its pollutted state to become a tourist attraction spot.

Next destination was the Breakout show, superb performance by Korean B-Boy group that combines break dancing and comedy. Great show!

For dinner, we had Bibimbap, a traditional Korean cuisine.

Later we proceed to Seven Luck Casino. Due to both of us not really into gambling, so we used up the time given by taking some photos outside of the casino and in a hotel conjoined to it.

Day 6
On our final day here, we went to Purple Crystal showroom to see how amethyst based products and jewelleries were produced. Before we head to airport, we stopped at Korean Local Product shop for our final chance to grab souvenirs and locally produced food (bought some chocolates, souvenirs and plenty of seaweed here).

At the airport, it was time to say farewell to our tourguide, Jay. He did an excellent job of making sure that we had an enjoyable time in Korea. Kudos....

Among all the restaurants here in the airport, we decided to try Lotteria (a Korean fastfood chain restaurant) for lunch. Great burgers and reasonable price too (one set of burger with fries & softdrink cost around RM15-18).

Then, we saw Korea Tourism shop offering free Korean paper fans for tourist to self-paint and since we still have time, I guess why not. Whose one do u think looks nicer??......Hehe!

At last, good time has come to an end and we boarded our flight (Korean Air) and arrived KLIA at 22.45hr local time with all the sweet memories of Korea in our mind.

Annyonghi kaseyo Korea! ......for now but I know one day, I'll be back!!
